Abstract

11 specimens of large sized ammonites from the Štramberk Limestone deposited in the collections in Prague represent 6 species. Two species belong to the superfamily Lytoceratoidea, the remaining ones to the superfamily Perisphinctoidea. The perisphinctid specimens belong to the Lower and the Upper Tithonian, and the lytoceratids probably correspond to the same stratigraphic level. Two species, namely Ernstbrunnia blaschkei and Djurjuriceras mediterraneum were not known from the Štramberk Limestone earlier.
